School rules for learners are printed in learner’s diary and will have to be signed by the learner and his/her parents.
Skoolreëls vir leerders word in die skool se dagboek geplaas wat deur die leerder en sy / haar ouers geteken moet word.

KATEGORIE 1
- Ek mag nie ‘n ander maat terg nie.
- Ek moet my beste gee in my skoolwerk en getrou my huiswerk doen.
- Ek moet altyd die skoolgrond netjies hou.
- Ek moet altyd my klaskamer netjies
- Ek moet altyd netjies en korrek aangetrek wees volgens die skool se skooldragreëls .
KATEGORIE 2
- Ek mag nie in ‘n ander maat se goed krap of dit beskadig nie.
- Ek moet my skool se naam hoog hou selfs in die publiek.
- Ek moet tydens skoolure op die skoolterrein bly.
- Ek mag geen vloektaal of haatspraak gebruik nie.
- Geen selfone toegelaat of gebruik sodra leerder op Dunatosgronde aangekom het totdat leerder Dunatosgronde verlaat na skool.
- Ek mag nie die klas ontwrig met my gedrag nie.
- Geen fisiese kontak
KATEGORIE 3
- Ek mag niks van ‘n ander persoon steel nie.
- Ek mag nie by ‘n maat afkyk, afskryf of notas maak waarvan af ek kan skryf nie.
- Ek mag nie oneerlik wees met take of in toetse nie.
- Ek mag nie plagiaat pleeg nie.
- Ek mag nie leuens vir ‘n onderwyser vertel nie.
- Ek moet respek hê vir die skool se personeel.
- Ek moet respek hê vir enige gaste wat die skool besoek.
- Ek mag nie ‘n ander maat slaan of afknou(fisies of verbaal) doelbewus teister, intimideer of dreig nie.
- Ek mag op geen wyse die gebou of terrein beskadig nie.
- Ek mag op geen wyse die meubels of toerusting van die skool beskadig nie.
- GEEN RASSISTIESE GEDRAG OF SPRAAK sal geduld word nie.
- GEEN BENDEVERWANTE GEDRAG OF SPRAAK sal toegelaat word nie.
- GEEN onvanpaste gebruik van snuifmiddels, oplosmiddels, spuitgoed of soortgelyke middels sal geduld word nie.
- EK MAG ONDER GEEN OMSTANDIGHEDE ENIGE VAN DIE VOLGENDE NA DIE SKOOLGROND BRING, DIT GEBRUIK OF ONDER DIE INVLOED WEES DAARVAN NIE: ◊ skerp voorwerpe of messe ◊ wapens ◊ naalde ◊ vuurhoutjies ◊”bottle ends” ◊ aanstekers, ◊“foils” ◊ dwelms ◊ alkohol ◊ pornografiese materiaal ◊ sigarette of e-sigarette ◊ onwettige middels ◊ dwelmverwante ◊ energiedrankies of aanvullings ◊ toerusting soos pype of sigaretpapiere ens.
- GEEN selfoon, ipod, ipad, PSP, smart watch, laptop of tablet
- BESTUUR van ‘n motor of motorfiets deur ‘n leerder sonder ‘n toespaslike bestuurslisensie of op so’n wyse dat dit gevaar inhou vir leerders, personeel of die publiek, is verbode. Leerders wat hieraan skuldig is, sal parkering op en rondom die skoolgrond geweier word en mag ‘n klag by die verkeersdepartement in die gesig staar.
CATEGORY 1
- I am not allowed to tease other children
- I must do my best in my schoolwork and always complete my homework.
- I must keep the school grounds neat.
- I must keep the classroom neat.
- I must always be neatly and correctly dressed according to the school’s dress code.
CATEGORY 2
- I am not allowed to damage other children’s property.
- I must uphold the name of the school even when I am in public.
- I have to stay on the school grounds during school hours.
- I am not allowed to swear or use hate speech.
- No cell phones allowed or to be use as soon as learner enter Dunatos grounds until learner leaves Dunatos grounds after school
- I may not disrupt the class with my behaviour.
- No physical contact
CATEGORY 3
- I am not allowed to steal from anybody.
- I may not copy other learner’s work or use note during tests or exams.
- I may not be dishonest with assignments or in tests.
- I may not commit plagiarism.
- I may not tell lies to a teacher.
- I must have respect for the school’s staff
- I must have respect for any guests that visit the school.
- I am not allowed to hit, bully(physically or verbally), willfully harass, intimidate or threaten another child.
- I am not allowed to damage the building or grounds in any way.
- I am not allowed to damage the furniture or equipment of the school.
- NO RACIST REMARKS OR BEHAVIOUR will be tolerated.
- NO GANGSTER REMARKS OR BEHAVIOUR will be tolerated.
- NO inappropriate use of solvents, inhalants, aerosols or similar agents will be tolerated.
- UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES AM I ALLOWED TO USE, BE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OR BRING OR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING ONTO THE SCHOOL GROUNDS : ◊ sharp objects or knives ◊ weapons ◊ matches ◊ bottle ends ◊ lighters ◊ foils ◊ drugs ◊ pornographic material ◊ alcohol ◊ cigarettes ◊ illegal substance ◊ energy boosters or supplements ◊ drug-related equipment such as pipes, cigarette papers.
- NO mobile phone, ipod, ipad, PSP, smart watch, laptop or tablet
- DRIVING a car or motorcycle by a learner without an appropriate driving license or in such a way that it poses a danger to learners, staff or the public is prohibited. Learners who are guilty of this will be refused parking on and around the school grounds and may face a complaint to the traffic department.

WAT IS DISSIPLINE?
- Om by reëls en grense te kan hou,
- Om respek vir ander te hê.
- Om die regte keuses te maak en die gevolge van my keuses te aanvaar.
SKOOLREËLS WORD GEFORMULEER :
- Om leerders te help om behoorlike volwassenes te word.
- Om dissipline te bevorder.
- Goeie dissipline bevorder behoorlike studie.
- Om leerders veilig te laat voel in hul omgewing.
- Om leerders voor te berei om as volwassene dissipline te kan beoefen in hul beroep.
KATEGORIE 1 DISSIPLINE :
- Wegneem van voorregte
- Verwydering van bonusse
- Ouers sal gevra word om hul kind te kom haal indien die kleredrag- en voorkomsreëls herhalend nie nagekom word nie.
- Verkeerde bykomstighede sal gekonfiskeer word.
KATEGORIE 2 DISSIPLINE :
- Ouers word skriftelik in kennis gestel.
- Detensie
- Selfone moet ingehandig word deur die leerders, waarna die selfoon in die skool se kluis vir ‘n week toegesluit sal word. Die leerders teken die selfoon onder toesig van ‘n onderwysers self in en uit.
KATEGORIE 3 DISSIPLINE :
- Ouers word skriftelik in kennis gestel.
- Tydelike skorsing.
- Enige besit of gebruik van dwelmverwante middels of toerusting sal aangemeld word by die polisie en lei tot ‘n dissiplinêre verhoor. Dit kan permanente skorsing tot gevolg hê.
- Bedrag van R250per stoel sal gehef word op die beskadiging of breek van ‘n skoolstoel
- ‘n Bedrag R300 per boek sal gehef word op die beskadiging of verloor van ‘n handbook of biblioteekboek.
- ‘n Leerder met enige onaanvaarbare gedrag wat herhaaldelik voorkom, nie verwant is aan die leerstoornis nie, lei tot verhindering van onderrig of medeleerders se lewe fisies of emosioneel in gedrang plaas, sal na samesprekings met toepaslike terapeute, ouers en die skool se leerderondersteuningspan, na ’n toepaslike instansie verwys word en nie toegelaat word om verder by Dunatos skool te gaan nie.

- To make the right decisions and to bear the consequences of my actions
SCHOOL RULES ARE FORMULATED :
- To help he learners to become proper adults.
- To promote discipline.
- Good discipline promotes proper learning.
- To make learners feel safe in their environment.
- To prepare learners to be able to maintain discipline in their jobs as adults.
CATEGORY 1 DISCIPLINE :
- Depriving of privileges.
- Depriving of bonuses
- Parents will be asked to fetch their children if the rules for school wear and appearance are continuously not met.
- Incorrect accessories will be confiscated.
CATEGORY 2 PUNISHMENT :
- Parents will be notified in writing.
- Detention
- The learner must hand in the cell phone and it will be locked in the school’s safe for a week. The learner will sign the cell phone in and out under supervision of a teacher.
CATEGORY 3 PUNISHMENT :
- Parents will be notified in writing
- Temporary suspension
- Any possession or use of any drug-related substances or accessories will be reported to the police, followed by a disciplinary hearing. This will lead to immediate suspension.
- An amount of R250 per chair will be charged for damaging or breaking a school chair.
- An amount of R300 per book will be charged for the damage or loss of a handbook or library book.
- A learner with any unacceptable re-occurring behaviour not related to the barrier to learning, that prevents teaching from taking place or place fellow leaners’ life in physical or emotional jeopardy, will, after discussions with appropriate therapists, the parents and the school’s learner support team, be referred to another institute and will not be allowed to attend DUNATOS school any longer.
